The REAL Gamble analyzes The Dark Knight: A RANT

*Spoiler ALERT**Spoiler ALERT**Spoiler ALERT**Spoiler ALERT**Spoiler ALERT*

No, this is the REAL Gamble. I had that name WAAAY before that Spawn, Mike Tyson, gap having dude did in the new Batman movie.

Left: Real Gamble Right: Gamble Impersonator

David Banner also auditioned for that part, but let me say anyway his single "Get Like Me" is my JAM!
Check my footage of him at SXSW here. Maybe if he was in it, it could've been a tad bit better.

In case you haven't figured it out, I saw The Dark Knight this weekend and let me say...just wait for the DVD.
I mean, damn, if Chris Nolan wants to make a realistic Batman flick have the henchman shoot for his MOUTH! It's Batman's most vulnerable spot.
When they shoot anywhere else, it just looks DUMB knowing he has protective armor on!
The Joker wanted Batman dead so badly there was a part in the movie when he killed people until he showed up. So why not AIM FOR HIS MOUTH?! The whole movie no one aims for his MOUTH!

I had to get that off my chest!

Then, what's up with all those annoying monologues the Joker did before he would slice somebody? If he was 'bout it 'bout it he would've done the deed from the jump! He also had the opportunity to slice Rachel Dawes at that party, but he was too busy explaining what the hell happened to him in a dramatic monologue (that could've been better told in a flashback) that he missed it when Batman showed up to save the day.

He should've sliced her since he was gonna blow her into pieces anyway at the end, right?

This is the way MY movie would've gone:
Joker sliced a smile into Rachel at the party and still throws her out the window. Batman still saves her and loves her for who she is. Harvey on the other hand doesn't and loses interest in her when he starts to get more famous. He only keeps her because he doesn't want to seem shallow to the public.
With her new, horrible scars, she STILL hastily puts away the Joker HARDER because of what he did to her.

Harvey starts to treat Rachel bad, but Bruce embraces her and acts as the cleanup man (he's a billionaire, he can have her fixed).
I would've done away with that whole different warehouse bomb scene and had Rachel killed a different way, but have Harvey scarred in the courtroom the way it was supposed to be!

I'm glad Two-Face died in this movie too. It was good to see him on screen but that whole flip-a-coin thing didn't translate to this movie well. Why the hell would you flip a coin to decide to kill someone who you think messed your face up and killed your woman? Just kill 'em! Good villains don't have a conscience.
Even so, his face didn't get damaged according to the Batman legend like I said previously. In Batman-land, it happened when he was persecuting Sal "The Boss" Maroni and he put acid on his face. Yeah, just like in the picture below.

In The Dark Knight, Batman rescues Harvey from this warehouse, and when it blows up, Harvey's face gets burned like Usher.
And if this Batman is so realistic, Harvey's eye would've been dry as hell the way it was all out in the air with no eye lid to cover it!
He would've had to carry around a vat of Clear Eyes.
And since this is the new Chris Nolan Batman, he should've had Two Face carry some slick little case and squirt his eye whenever it got itchy. I believe his character was better suited for the comics than a movie. I even enjoyed Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face better, LOL. Speaking of appearances, why was DEBO is this movie? I'll get to that later ...

And WHY THE HELL were the cops setting the dogs on Batman at the end of the movie?
He didn't kill anybody! He should've killed the Joker; wait let me not get into that...

FORGET IT, I WILL GET INTO THAT!

First off, let me say Heath Ledger's death was stupid, but I respect his performance. Most of the people who will make up this movie's mass turn-out want to see how well he performed and because it's his last completed movie. He was filming The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus at the time of his death.

NOW, ON WITH MORE BASHING!

How the hell did the Joker get out that maximum security interrogation room he was in? Did that cop HAVE to be so stupid and try to fight Joker's crazy azz that Joker got up and bullied him out of that room?!
STUPID! That's not reality Batman, that's a damn flick flub.

No Joker, I won't applaud you. Chill...

Also, is the Joker bisexual? I think so...
He looked a little bit too comfortable in his nurse outfit talking to Dent in that hospital. They didn't have a doctor's robe or anything on the premises at that time?! That was a stupid scene to me.

AND why the hell was Debo in this movie? Yeah, Debo ("That's my bike punk!" from Friday) was in this flick. I bet that really was him, he just made his way into Gotham City and did some B.S.!
Anyway, he makes the decision to throw some bomb out the window that was supposed to kill another boat load of people.
What the hell?! When did GOTHAM CITY have prisoners with a HEART?!
He was also wearing the SAME JUMPSUIT from NEXT FRIDAY!! Hahaha! I said it first!

Anthony Michael Hall of the Brat Pack was in this too! I thought I was watching a lost episode of the Dead Zone at first. No Brat Packer needs to be in any Batman movie unless it's a spoof!

And what was the whole point of that guy who wanted to identify Batman about? Very unnecessary...

THEN I HAVE SOME OTHER QUESTIONS:
Why couldn't Batman kill Joker, but he killed Henri Ducard (Darkman/Qui Gon Jin) in Batman Begins? It was sort of an accident, but Batman didn't save his azz! If they're trying to make Joker stay for the sequel at least Batman could've tried to kill him and still have him survive. That would've looked better.

Was I mistaken when they said Joker didn't have any fingerprints? How could he not have fingerprints?

Why was this movie so long? No movie needed to be that long unless it was a true story. It was 2 hours and 30 minutes! Wrap it up, SON!

Why was Scarecrow in the beginning of this movie and why didn't Batman call him out?

Why did Joker's crazy azz burn all that money?! He could've given it to me!!!

In case you haven't figured it out, this is what I think about the new Batman movie.
Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, that's funny!
Well, not really to that extent, but it could've been done a lot better and more precise to the comic.
I just think this movie was way too serious. Batman Begins did an excellent job of capturing the comic feel while giving a grittier depiction of the comic better than this movie did. Since it's inevitable that they'll make a third one, I really hope they don't go all Spiderman 3 with it and totally ruin the franchise. It's a pretty good idea to begin with, but this film was done kind of sloppy in my opinion.

Signing off,
the REAL Gamble

P.S. And as for who's the better Batman, I'll go for Michael Keaton on this one. He and Tim Burton's films captured the darkness and comic book feel the best without going too far like this Chris Nolan vision.

you must feel REAL lonely in that "Dark Knight Sucks" bandwagon.

Get a life - Get a knife -
And let's put a SMILE on that face!
