Okay, first of all, this song sounds like a blatant rip-off of Hootie and the Blowfish's 1994 hit "Hold My Hand". No surprise this new song also "borrows" the same name. Maybe it's me, but that's how I feel for now. As for Akon, he sounds like the same radio Akon, good for him ~yawn~.
Michael sounds good, though. The man has the golden voice. No one can ever take that away from him. It looks like Mike is in the right direction with his music too. If anything, he needs to stick to this route of collaborating with other hot current artists, not remixes like his new Thriller album, but whole songs like this; like duets.
I remember he did a song with some rapper named Tempamental called "Gangsta" that was outstanding and had real potential, but I don't think it ever saw beyond the web. Maybe, he should release a collab album with the hottest artists of today like Tony Bennett's 2006 album. He's old and legendary enough so why not? Throw Mary J. in the mix and I say you work with that! I said it first!
Hey, maybe that 50 Cent/Michael Jackson song rumored a while back wasn't such a bad idea...
